Apps and Phone considerations for your trip

App info and More for this Crazy Wedding Situation

Like any pale, friendless app addict, I've researched what's available on the iTunes store for Curacoa related apps. There are a few. In fact, it'll cost you about 10 bucks or something to get equipped. Here's why that might be useful:

- I don't think many of us know anything about Curaçao. I thought it was a blood disease clinic in Spain. Well holy shit, it's actually an island just north of Venezuala with crystal clear beaches and pretty acceptable food. It'll be beautiful alright, but you have to find activities once the "pretty" wears off. Try Curaçao to Go:

Cell service: This may be an important one, friends and family. Both of these apps (below) have a built in map of the island that just needs GPS to show you your location. Your data may suck there and Google maps may fail you. A cached map is the way to go.

So how about this, friends: email Jenni and I with things you want to do while youre on the island. We want to get together to Gamble, Dance, Eat and look at Fish like any other red-blooded Americans.

Ticket Prices

A couple friends have been coming to us saying that they're not sure they can make it since flights are so high. $800-ish high. If you're running into that problem, change your days around a little bit. Come in on Thursday instead of Friday or Monday instead of Sunday. Some flights are getting booked up except for Business class, which is driving up the prices. Ticket prices should be landing somewhere in the $450-475 range.

Way more do-able than $800!!

Fact Finding Mission

I took a little research trip to Curacao in June. I met with our caterer, went over paperwork with our lady who's handling the Townhall stuff for us, looked at beaches to decide which one we want the wedding at, and figured out some good restaurants for rehearsal dinners. I also took plenty of time to lie on the beach and read books. You know, a good excuse for a vacation.

I have some photos for you and a bit of advice: road maps, bug spray, heavy duty sunscreen. Also, don't mess with the iguanas - they eat birds, they could eat you.

I stayed at the Blue Bay Hotel, where we got you guys a great deal. Let us know if you need to book your stay. We have all the pricing and booking information you need.

So close!

We're so close to sending out the Save the Date emails. By the time most of you are seeing this, we'll already have done! We're super excited about all the plans we're making... And that you'll be there to join us!

We need one thing from you guys: your addresses. We have a lot of your addresses, but not all. Please get them to us soon so we can get out the invites.

For those of you who are planning on attending, we got a great deal for you with the Blue Bay Hotel. They're a really interesting residence-style hotel where you can get single rooms (for couples) or 2-3 room suites for larger groups who want to stay together and/or save a little cash. Email us for the (really amazing) prices and the sales office information so you can book with our group.

Curacao - The Difference

The greatest, most ridiculous tourist video ever. I can't wait to get everyone together here. We're totally doing that underwater scuba boat thing.
